Plastic Decks

Plastic decking is becoming more and more popular nowadays due to its unsurpassed durability and field performance. Plastic decking is made solely from plastic products and contains no wood or organic material. Modern plastics are protected from the early aging and brittleness of earlier plastics through modern technological advances.  Plastic decks were originally only available in light colours, but today a wide selection of colours is available to satisfy the needs of each and every customer.  And best of all, plastic decks are super low maintenance and easy to clean with only soap and water.

Azek Decks
Azek makes one of the most durable decking materials while still being competitively priced. Azek is made from cellular PVC giving it the strength it needs to withstand our harsh Canadian weather. Azek Deck used to be known as Procell, a company that was bought out by Azek Building Products. Azek has more colours available than any other manufacturer of plastic deck boards. Azek comes in regular sized deck boards and T&G porch boards.
Trex Escapes
Escapes is the first product from Trex that is made purely out of cellular PVC. It is very similar to Azek, with a significantly smaller selection of colours and, depending on your location, a higher price tag.
Trex Transcend
Transcend is not a true plastic material, though for the most part it behaves like plastic and has similar properties. The board is made of a composite interior wrapped on three surfaces in a plastic shell. This product has yet to prove itself as it only came out in January of 2010, but it is interesting to note that it has a 25 year scratch and stain warranty.
VekaDeck
VekaDeck is made out of 100% PVC and colour stabilizers. VekaDeck is mainly used in Eastern Canada due to its availability. A peculiarity of this product is the shiny, forever wet look. Aside from this it is still a very popular and durable material.
